[job_card.job_description]Chemical Engineering 3-10 years of experience in refining and / or chemicals manufacturing roles Process design exposure Familiarity with advanced control strategies / optimization software Risk assessment and HAZOP experience Understanding of safety relief limits (modelling and evaluations) Understanding of modelling software (PROII, ASPEN, etc) Pension Plan : Enrollment is automatic and at no cost to you. What you will do
Serve as a technical leader by :
- Mentor less experienced engineers on design practices, unit health monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Provide support of abnormal and non-routine operations, including unit Turnarounds
- Aid in the development of long term vision and strategy for product line improvements
- Organize and design plant testing and product trials
- Influence others and drive toward solutions without direct authority
- Work in a team environment with other engineering disciplines, operations, and mechanical personnel and interface with corporate technology support
- Ability to interface with 3rd party vendors (cost optimizations as well as developing / driving solutions)
- Lead / support incident investigations as technical lead
- Provide support for developing and implementing various capital projects to drive margin or mitigate SHE risk
- Provide assistance in the field during plant startups, shutdowns or upsets
- Demonstrate courage of conviction to drive healthy tension for both business team and corporate technology support to promote fit for purpose outcome
