Position Overview
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys working with clients directly, and is eager to grow within a close-knit accounting practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Assist in preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including billing and collections
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Assist with payroll processing and related filings
- Communicate with clients to obtain documentation and resolve accounting or tax-related inquiries
- Support senior accountants and partners with audits and ad-hoc projects
