Mail Services Associate

Position Summary: The Mail Services Associate is responsible for supporting daily mailroom operations, including the receipt, distribution, and processing of mail and packages. This role ensures timely and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintains supply inventories, and provides reliable service to internal departments.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages (letters, parcels, U.S. Postal, and interdepartmental).
• Collect, prepare, and process outgoing mail and courier shipments (e.g., FedEx, UPS) using computer systems or service provider equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of mailroom activities.
• Perform data entry related to mail and shipment tracking.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of mailroom and shipping supplies.
• Pick up and deliver supplies to designated locations as needed.
• Ensure proper handling of confidential and sensitive materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior mailroom, shipping, or courier experience (FedEx/UPS preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to operate mail carts, hand carts, and flatbeds.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
