Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist - Mobility Manager
The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist - Mobility Manager and manages all Veteran Transportation System (VTS) and Beneficiary Travel (BT) program activities, including patient transport, Special Mode Transport (SMT), mileage reimbursement claims, transportation contracts, 911 ambulance claims, inter-facility transfers, and common carrier transportation.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12 / 05 / 2025.
Time-In-Grade Requirement : Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
Qualifications : You may qualify based on your experience and / or education as described below :
Specialized Experience : You must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-09) in the Federal Service that has given the applicant the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities requires to successfully perform the duties of a Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist - Mobility Manager, experience that demonstrated a knowledge of the transportation function(s) of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
Specialized experience includes : fleet management and / or common carrier transportation; planning and directing administrative activities related to transportation; prioritizing program resource when conflicts arise; analyzing and evaluating information pertinent to the efficient and effective operation of a transportation program; and providing leadership / supervision, instruction / counsel to employees.
NOTE : Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start / end dates AND hours worked per week.
OR, Substitution of Education for Experience (Transcript Required) : Requires successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related, which a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist - Mobility Manager position.
OR, Combination of Education and Experience (Transcript Required) : Equivalent combination of successfully completed graduate level education (beyond the second year) and specialized experience, as described above, may be used to meet total experience requirements for this grade level. The education portion must include graduate courses that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist - Mobility Manager position.
