Ulliman Schutte is a national leader in the construction and renovation of water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and associated utility work. We are seeking a Superintendent for our construction site in Norfolk, VA and future project work in the region.

Project Superintendent Daily Life

• Lead field operations including self-perform and subcontractor utility pipeline work on the jobsite with safety, quality and efficiency.
• Organize manpower and materials for efficient installation operations.
• Work with Project Manager to prioritize work.
• Understand, use, and teach concepts, procedures, and practices common for municipal water and sewer utility work.
• Outdoor work with all types of weather.
• Work safely.

Project Superintendent Must Haves

• Ability to read and understand plan and profile, specifications,
• Knowledge of aggregates, pipe, structures, etc.
• Experience leading others
  
• Experience successfully laying and testing underground pipe in a water utility environment including restrained joint, mechanical joint, push-joint ductile iron pipe, Hobas, HDPE, and concrete pipe.
• Previous experience with heavy machinery.
