Welder, 1st shift

Majestic Steel is excited to add a welder to our Team! We’re hiring welder that is ready to hit the ground running! That means assembling, fabricating parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment. Majestic Steel has an immaculate facility, strong safety culture and offers competitive compensation & benefits! Hours Monday- Friday, 6: AM - 2: PM, with overtime as required.

What you will do:

• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create parts and ensure implementation according to welding specifications.
• Fabricate and manufacture metal parts for assembly.
• Operate various hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Perform all welding work with help of forming and cutting equipment.
• Perform welding of various metal objects with help of gas torch and welder.
• Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods.
• Evaluate weld machine performance regularly.
• Maintain inventory of manufacturing product and welding consumables.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
• Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to specification changes.
• Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Wear appropriate protective equipment as required and in accordance with safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Assist with housekeeping and provide support in other areas as required.
• Other job related duties and special projects as assigned.

Additional:

• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects up to lbs.
• Must be able to walk; sit; stand; climb; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl up to hours.
• Must be able to mount, dismount and operate powered industrial equipment.
• Must be able to work in both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.
• Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days, as needed, which includes weekdays and weekends.

Education, Training and Experience Requirements

• Prior experience welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals.
• Capable of reading blueprints.
• Technologically savvy with experience in MS Office products and Windows-based computer applications.
• Specific technical or vocational training or certification. (Preferred)

• Maintain neat and orderly conditions in work area and help maintain and promote safe conditions throughout the facility.
• Communicate with management and co-workers in an effective manner.
