An Internal Medicine Physician provides outpatient care primarily for adult patients, handling an average of 15-20 visits per day. They are responsible for managing calls and directing patients appropriately, with a few preferred procedures. The position requires an active NY State medical license and several certifications, with evening and weekend call responsibilities.

Schedule :

• Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri 8a-4 : 30p hourly
• Weeknight call offsite 5p-8a
• Thursday 10a 6p
• Sat 8a-12p w / call
• Sun 8a-8a call only

Coverage Details : Mon - Friday and one Saturday / weekend per month, chosen at random. Call may not be required for every stretch booked. If a candidate is on call, they will be on call for the entire week, no clinic on Sunday - call only.

JOB INFORMATION

Outpatient call, no inpatient call. Candidates may not be required to be on call for every week that they pick up. For Thursdays, the office opens at 8a so the candidate would only have to be on call through 8a since the office would handle anything coming through during open hours.

Avg calls 0-5; directing to urgent care or ER, calling in antibiotics, etc. Candidate would not go onsite for calls.

Procedures are not required, but preferred : abscess, injections, skin biopsy etc.
