is seeking a Nocturnist to join their team at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Illinois

Alton Memorial Hospital is a full-service acute-care hospital with 210 beds and over 392 physicians.  They offer a variety of inpatient and outpatient services including surgery (3,366 in 2021), medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care (Siteman Cancer Network), therapy and 24 hour emergency and ambulance services.

Alton Memorial is a training site for Family Medicine residents through SIU School of Medicine.  And they are a member of BJC Healthcare, one of the nation's largest nonprofit health care organizations with annual net revenues over 6 billion and more than 30,000 employees in great St. Louis area.

• 7 on 7 off schedule or 14 on 14 off
• 182 Shifts per year
• Closed ICU
• No Procedures or Codes
• Epic EMR
• Average admissions 8-10
• Not able to spronsor J-1

Role Purpose

The physician will provide professional medical services within the practicing Specialty to the best of physician’s ability through direct patient care and spend additional time as necessary to perform other related duties such as completing medical records, providing MyChart consultations and in-basket management, conducting patient-specific education and collaborating with advanced practice providers and care team members.
