Trading Position

Responsible for trading physical and financial electricity and gas, in the medium term and long term Northwest, California, and Palo Verde markets. Develops and executes trading and / or hedging strategies to optimize and / or monetize the corporate portfolio. Analyze fundamental data to create risk-adverse trading strategies designed to capture extrinsic value from the marketplace. Develops and manages hedging strategies for all assets. Assist Business Development, Origination and Structuring on deal evaluations. Assist West Coast Power Cash desk as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Trade physical and financial power and gas in the medium term and forward markets.
• Develop and manage hedging strategies for corporate assets
• Develop and manage hedging strategies for corporate long term fixed price contracts
• Manage Individual Proprietary Trading book.
• Evaluate market conditions to optimize corporate asset book in the medium term and forward markets.
• Provide leadership to Cash Desk and Support Personnel in Power Trading group.
• Assist Business Development, Structuring and Origination with deal evaluation
• Trade short-term physical and financial power focusing on the Midwest & Northeast.
• Lend commercial leadership to the Company's development and origination activities to expand the company's power portfolio.
• Develop and manage hedging strategies for corporate assets.
• Manage individual proprietary trading book.
• Provides back-up trading support to the NE Power Cash Trading Desk.
• Assist Real Time Desk and support personnel in power trading group.
• Adhere to internal controls.
