Mail Delivery Specialist

Job Summary : Responsible for collecting and delivering mail and various items between facilities, affiliated locations, departments, and other specified areas. This includes, but is not limited to mail, supplies, medical equipment, and / or laboratory specimens.

Essential Functions :

• Delivers parcels, packages, and other deliverables to and from designated locations.
• Maintains vehicle and ensures it is serviced and cleaned on a regular basis.
• Keeps accurate records and receipts.
• Operates a motor vehicle and drive vehicle for extended periods of time.
• Drives city streets and freeways safely; determines most efficient routes.
• Practices safe operating procedures.
• Properly handles blood and blood products.
• Handles special deliveries and any other additional tasks assigned.
• Communicates effectively orally and in writing.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
