Responsibilities
As an Owner Operator Driver with Altom Transport, you are more than just a driver—you are a business owner and a critical partner in our operation. Your role includes :
Safe Transportation : Hauling chemical and petroleum products using tank trailers while adhering to DOT regulations.Equipment Maintenance : Ensuring your truck meets all inspection standards and remains in top condition for long-haul success.Loading & Unloading : Following proper procedures for ISO / Flexi-Bag or Tanker operations at loading and delivery points.Compliance & Documentation : Maintaining accurate logs, submitting necessary paperwork, and adhering to Hazmat regulations.Customer Service : Representing Altom Transport professionally at all customer locations.Business Management : Managing fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.Maintain a steady workload by meeting mileage or hour requirements to contribute to the overall success of the operation.24 / 7 Operation – Willingness to be available 24 / 7 when needed.If you’re looking for a long-term partnership with a company that values your experience , provides top-tier support, and offers high revenue potential , Altom Transport is the right fit for you!
Requirements
Altom Transport requires qualified, safety-focused drivers operating late-model equipment that meets Altom’s inspection standards. The following requirements reflect Altom’s strict hiring, compliance, and safety expectations :
Late-model equipment that meets Altom’s inspection standardsValid CDL Class A LicenseTanker Endorsement (N) – RequiredHazmat Endorsement (H) – Preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire; assistance available)TWIC Card – Preferred (or must obtain after hire)At least 23 years of ageMinimum 1 year of verifiable tanker experience (2 years within the last 5 years preferred under safety vetting)Clean MVR and strong safety recordNo DUI / OWI within the last 5 yearsCannot be prohibited in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol ClearinghouseNo at-fault / preventable fatal or rollover accident in the last 5 yearsNo more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 yearsNo more than 2 CSA moving violations in the last 18 monthsNo falsification on the driver applicationMust hold a current X endorsementAble to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background checkDependable, safety-minded, and capable of working independentlyWilling to work flexible schedules, including 24 / 7 operations if neededAltom supports its “mission first, safety always” culture through mandatory onboarding and training, quarterly safety meetings, emergency response compliance, DOT and hazmat awareness testing, safety technology such as forward-facing cameras and governed equipment, incident investigation programs, RCMS / HSE standards, and PPE replacement guidelines.
