Senior Azure Administrator
Location : Franklin Lakes, NJ Onsite
Duration : 6 -12 Months
Resource Management : Manage Azure subscriptions and resources, including creating, deploying, decommissioning, and scaling HD Insights clusters, storage accounts, and other Azure services.
Networking Configuration : Configure and manage virtual networks (VNets), subnets, network security groups (NSGs), and ExpressRoute connections to ensure secure and efficient connectivity.
Identity and Access Management (IAM) : Implement and manage identity solutions using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and configure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure secure access to resources.
Storage Management : Implement and manage various Azure storage solutions, such as Blob storage, Azure Files, and Disk Storage, including configuring access tiers, encryption, and data redundancy to meet availability and reliability requirements.
Monitoring and Optimization : Utilize tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to track the health, performance, and resource usage of the Azure environment. Optimize resources for cost-efficiency and performance and set up alerts for proactive issue detection.
Security and Compliance : Implement and maintain security measures to protect Azure resources and data from threats. Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal governance policies.
Backup and Disaster Recovery : Design, implement, and test backup and disaster recovery solutions using services like Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery to ensure business continuity and data integrity.
Automation and Scripting : Automate routine tasks and deployment processes using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates to improve efficiency and consistency.
Troubleshooting and Support : Provide support and troubleshoot issues related to Azure services, collaborating with other teams (e.g., developers, security experts, network engineers) to resolve technical problems swiftly.
Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation for all Azure configurations, procedures, and incidents.
Qualifications and Skills
Education : Experience : Proven experience as an Azure Administrator or in a similar cloud management role.
Certifications : Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification is preferred.
Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of core Azure services, networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls), virtualization, and Active Directory concepts. Experience with Big Data technologies like Spark, Hive, Kafka, Ambari, and Databricks

Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and stay current with the latest Azure technologies and best practices.
