In collaboration with and under the guidance of the Human Resources Director, this position is a
strategic and people-focused role designed to act as a consultative partner to site-specific
department leaders and employees. Along with day-to-day HR operations such as recruitment,
onboarding, employee relations, labor law compliance, workers compensation management, and
payroll and benefits administration; the HR Manager will align HR practices with organization-wide
objectives, providing expert guidance on performance management, training and skills
development, and culture development. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a
hands-on problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Candidates MUST possess :
- Administrator- level experience within ADP
- Must have Payroll processing experience, within ADP
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations

Take responsibility to build strong relationships and partnerships with internal stakeholders to understand department and site-level needs, and deliver tailored HR solutions to address those needs.Provide coaching and support on complex employee relations issues with discretion and professionalism, focusing on resolution and risk mitigation.Advise and provide guidance to supervisors and managers concerning staff performance and disciplinary matters.Support change management efforts tied to business transformation, restructuring, or policy implementation.Respect, embrace, and celebrate diversity by championing a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture, always focused on LifeLine’s mission to save lives .Serve as a point of contact for leadership and employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.Provide site-specific reports and statistics, as requested by leadership.Support recruitment efforts, to include, proactive talent sourcing, hiring manager consultations, candidate screening, and onboardingParticipate in the facilitation of new employee orientation within the first month of hire.Cultivate a culture of continuous learning by assisting in developing skills training for staff; to include, scheduling, facilitating, documenting training classes, and providing monthly reports of employee training hours.Attend employee termination meetings, as needed, to support leadership in their delivery and communication of termination decisions.Attend employee disciplinary meetings, as needed, to support leadership in their delivery and communication of disciplinary actions.Complete bi-weekly payroll processing, to include any supplemental reports, leadership notifications, or requests for information.Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS.Conduct workplace / employee related investigations ensuring compassion , compliance, and consistency.Demonstrate exceptional stewardship by upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity, ensuring that access to sensitive employee and organizational information is used solely for legitimate business purposes—never for personal gain, advantage, or self-comparison.Help build a community of animal welfare advocates by supporting and engaging volunteers who aid LifeLine’s mission.Stay informed of HR trends and best practices by courageously seeking out and participating in professional development classes, seminars and continuing education, as available.Support and help drive employee recognition programs.Continue education by participating in LifeLine’s 40-hour annual training requirement.Other tasks as needed.Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Minimum of Associates Degree or higher.
Three plus years of human resources generalist or supervision.
SHRM-CP a plus.
Work Environment :
While performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to unpleasant kennel smells. May witness dogs and cats that are stray, injured, diseased or vicious.
