What your day looks like

Reporting to the Quality and Safety Manager, you’ll start by loading parts and running your own CMM programs across multiple machines. Your morning centers on precision : creating new routines, qualifying probes, calibrating equipment, and performing FAIR, sample, and final inspections on high‑precision machined components. Midday, you’ll partner with machinists and engineering to refine inspection strategies for tight‑tolerance critical features. By afternoon, you’ll finalize documentation for outbound shipments, certify requirements are met, and capture production reports for time, attendance, and inventory. Throughout, you’ll keep the lab organized per 6S, complete preventative maintenance, and take direction from the quality lead to prioritize work.

What you’ll do

• Program and operate multiple coordinate measuring machines; develop CMM scripts and code lines.
• Design and implement fixtures for part setup and quick changeover.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to transfer information and data effectively to meet customer and organizational goals.
• Continuously improve procedures, processes, and methods to achieve zero escapes in all inspections.
• Maintain CMM assets : probe qualifications, calibration, and routine cleaning.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing engineering to optimize measurements of critical features and tight‑tolerance machined parts.
• Review and complete shipping documentation to certify all requirements are met.
• Assist in training teammates to strengthen the workforce.
• Interpret customer specifications to establish correct inspection criteria.
• Take direction from and report to the quality lead.
• Develop, maintain, and generate CMM programs per customer specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance on inspection equipment.
• Accurately complete job‑related paperwork and production reporting (time, attendance, inventory).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace using 6S guidelines and safety standards.
• Comply with all safe practices, policies, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
