Operations Managers

SAIC is seeking highly skilled and experienced Operations Managers to join our team supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E). Successful candidates will provide technical management and leadership to efficiently and effectively run front office operations for senior OUSW(R&E) leadership. These positions are ideal for candidates who have a deep understanding of Department of War front office operations. These positions are 100% on site in Arlington, VA. These positions are contingent upon contract award anticipated in late 2025 / early 2026.

Job Description :

Coordinate and monitor action and task assignments, establishing completion dates, and assist with escalation as needed.

Facilitate teamwork among office staff to ensure cross-collaboration, meeting preparation, scheduling, task execution, and follow up.

Develop resource plans to accomplish tasks efficiently while managing competing priorities.

Recommend and implement modifications to current administrative and operational procedures and policies to improve efficiency for customers.

Maintain and develop office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Implement process changes through mentoring, counseling, and training office staff.

Develop executive-level status and summary briefings.

Develop and document decision support documents for senior customers.

Qualifications :

Required Education and Experience :

Bachelor's degree in management or technical discipline (e.g. Science, Mathematics, or Engineering field). Advanced program management education or certification is preferable.

Ten (10) years of experience is required. Highly preferred experience and skills in project management, operational management, strategy development and planning, and executive decisions support.

Required Clearance : Active TS / SCI.

U.S. Citizenship.

Required Skills :

Expert level skills in management tools including MS Office suite.

Ability to execute effectively in DoW staff environments and at the most senior levels of the Department.

Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and tasks, and deliver high quality and timely results and work products.

Ability to assess urgent work assignments, quickly determine optimal courses of action and manage actions to timely conclusion.
