JOB SUMMARY :
The Vice President (VP) of Commercial Finance & Strategic Pricing will serve as a senior financial leader responsible for driving the optimization of gross profit for American Textile Company (ATC). This strategic leadership role is well positioned to drive top-line and gross profit growth in serving as the key Financial Business Partner across ATC’s entire Opportunity-to-Cash cycle.
This individual will lead all aspects of ATC’s pricing strategy and execution. Further, they will work cross-functionally in driving the adoption of Salesforce for ATC. This individual will partner with Information Technology, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, eCommerce, Supply Chain, and Engineering, as they drive the strategy and execution of ATC’s digital transformation of Opportunity-to-Cash.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Commercial Finance, Strategic Pricing, Analytics, and Optimization
- Lead the development and execution of pricing strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives and market dynamics
- Create, manage, and continuously evaluate and refine pricing strategies to optimize revenue and maximize profitability
- Define and utilize key metrics and data-driven insights to identify opportunities for margin improvement and pricing adjustments
- Provide margin recommendations to the sales team based upon deep knowledge of product, market, and retailer. Develop product, price and service configurations targeting identified customer needs; balancing revenue against risk related to product utilization, mix, share, margins, and profitability
- Establish pricing policies, guidelines, and governance frameworks to maintain consistency and integrity in pricing practices across the organization
- Foster new or alternative pricing methodologies and direct internal and external testing in real-life, controlled pilot environments
- Partner with Engineering, Product Development, Merchandising, etc. to influence actions to lower cost
- Monitor pricing performance metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of pricing strategies and initiatives
Market and Customer Insights and Analytics
Partner with key stakeholders, including, but not limited to, sales, product development, supply chain, operations, and marketing, to identify customer, prospect, and industry segment demand for product / pricing optionsConduct in-depth market and competitor research and analysis to identify trends, pricing strategies, and competitive landscapeUnderstanding retailer requirementsMass merchants vs. clubs vs. off priceDrive retailer thinkingAnalyze competitor pricing models and market positioning strategies, as appropriateLeadership, Transformation, Collaboration and Compliance

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred10-15 years of experience required; including a minimum of 5-10 years of leadership experience in Commercial Finance / Operations Finance / Pricing strategy development and executionStrong understanding of global markets, pricing dynamics and key trends impacting profit optimizationProficiency in Salesforce Configure Pricing Quote (CPQ) system or similar pricing software is highly desiredExperience leading the implementation of new pricing tools and revenue management systems to automate and standardize pricing processes is a plusProven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and margin expansionStrategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and translate complex concepts into actionable strategies and initiativesDemonstrated leadership experience, with proven ability to build high-performing teams, foster collaboration, and develop talent through coaching and mentorshipAbility to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and drive resultsExpertise in streamlining complex pricing structures and matrices to enhance clarity and ease of understanding for customers and internal stakeholdersDeep understanding of pricing principles, methodologies, and best practices, preferably in the retail industryStrong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis and modeling techniquesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to speak with conviction to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organizationPHYSICAL DEMANDS :
