Setting : Outpatient Surgery Center – PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 16, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Monday – Friday, 4x10 hour days (06 : 30 – 17 : 00)

Hours per Week : 40

No weekends, no call, no floating (unless staffing needs change)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2150-$2200

Patient Population : Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Daily Census : 15-20 patients

Charting System : EPIC

Scrub Color : Dark Blue

PACU RN Job Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado

Minimum 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience

Pediatric recovery experience required

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)

Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system

First-time travel nurses welcome if experience requirements are met

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical patients

Provide safe, effective clinical support for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations

Monitor patient status, manage airways, and respond to post-anesthesia complications

Administer medications and perform pain assessments and management

Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and post-operative care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
