About this Position GENERAL SUMMARY : Responsible for the delivery of campus mail. Also assists in the operation of the contracted U.S. Post Office on campus. Required Qualifications Education : High School / GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) Experience : Proven history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior. Postal and / or computer experience preferred. Certifications, Registrations, and / or Licenses : Valid Oklahoma driver’s license is required if performing the functions of the position necessitates the use of a personal or university vehicle. Must be bondable for handling of cash and postage. Skills, Proficiencies, and / or Knowledge : Skills and Abilities : The ability to read and comprehend both written and verbal instructions. The ability to memorize and remember names, addresses and delivery instructions. The ability to use a PC for Word Processing applications such as MS Word and Excel as well as specialty software such as UPS or Postal Forwarding. Ability to resolve problems. Communication Skills : Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with students, co-workers and other campus personnel. Ability to communicate with a positive attitude. Excellent listening skills and customer responsiveness are essential. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively recognize and resolve conflict.
