Job Title : RN Ambulatory (Surgical Ambulatory Care)

Location : Syracuse NY 13210

Duration : 14 Weeks

Shift : Day Shift 8 hours / day

Schedule : MondayFriday 40 hours per week

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Ambulatory Registered Nurse to support a busy Surgical Ambulatory Care setting. This role involves working with a range of surgical specialties including burn colorectal thoracic general surgery and trauma . The ideal candidate is skilled in outpatient / same-day care and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal orientation.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments in an ambulatory / surgical setting

Provide pre- and post-operative patient care and education

Support specialty areas including burn colorectal thoracic trauma and general surgery

Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care

Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EPIC preferred)

Perform direct clinical care with minimal supervision

Maintain accurate documentation adhere to protocols and ensure patient safety

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license (New York State)

BLS certification (must be able to renew as needed)

Minimum 1.5 years of recent (within last 2 years) acute care experience

Experience in ambulatory and surgical care required

Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center highly preferred

EPIC EMR experience preferred

Strong communication assessment and interpersonal skills

Must not have :

License suspension or investigation

Malpractice claims

Must pass pre-employment health screening drug screen and background check

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
