Web Designer / Drupal Themer (Level 2)

Our client, a government agency supporting legislative and digital communication efforts, is seeking a Web Designer / Drupal Themer to join their team. As a Web Designer / Drupal Themer, you will be part of the Digital Services Department supporting the Web Development Team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title : Web Designer / Drupal Themer

Location : Washington, District Of Columbia

Pay Range : $55 / hr W2

What's the Job?

• Design and develop complex, high-fidelity custom Drupal themes and site building on the House Drupal platform.
• Collaborate with developers, project teams, and non-technical staff to translate high-level needs into functional digital products.
• Lead client consultations regarding UX, information architecture, and visual design to ensure user-centric solutions.
• Identify project risks early, troubleshoot CSS / JS conflicts, and implement effective workarounds within platform constraints.
• Perform deep customization and optimization of existing websites to enhance performance and fix legacy issues.
