Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Nocturnist Hospitalist

Functions as an Advanced Practice Nurse collaboratively with physician sponsor / s providing leadership of the clinical care team and acts as a change agent for a specific patient population by incorporating the role of clinical expert, role model, consultant, educator, practitioner, researcher, and nurse leader.  Provides clinical expertise to individual patients / families and / or groups of patients / families by providing direct and indirect patient care.  Collaborates with the health care team in assessing, designing, implementing, and evaluating population-based programs of patient care to enhance high quality-cost effective patient outcomes.  Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

Requirements :

• Completion of a masters degree or higher in a nursing specialty is demonstrated through national specialty certification as a nurse practitioner.
• At least three years of general nursing experience of clinical practice at the RN level or higher.
• Advanced practice licensure / certification as required by the State of employment. Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of employment.
• Nurse Practitioner needs to have acute / hospital care experience.
• Shift 7 pm- 7 am (rotating)
