About The Position
Job Title : CVOR Surgical Tech

License : BLS, CST preferred.
Certifications : ACLS, NIHSS preferred.
Must-Have :
- Experience in General OR with some CVOR background is required.
- Ability to set up a sterile field and assist with surgery.
Description :
This position is for a CVOR Surgical Tech.
The facility has 351 licensed beds.
It is a teaching hospital that works with residents.
The department includes multiple operating rooms with a census of 30 surgeries per day.
There is a low volume of CVOR cases, ranging from 0 to 3 per week.
The patient population is mainly adults, with a limited pediatric population.
Surgeries performed include orthopedic, neurosurgery, CVOR, urology, gynecology, general, and thoracic.
Robotic surgeries are conducted using the Davinci XI system.
Candidates must be comfortable scrubbing in on various case types, despite the limited volume of cardiac surgeries.
Support within the department includes charge nurses and service leads.
Technology used includes EMR systems and specific departmental equipment.
Floating may occur as needed.
Weekend rotation is required every other weekend.
Call is only necessary for CVOR cases, typically requiring a response in 30 minutes or less.
Travelers are expected to work a majority of holidays.
Scrub color is green, provided by the facility.
