Optician / Front Desk/ Optometric Technician

High fashion, well established optometry practice is looking for a full-time optometric optical dispensary/technician/front desk. We are looking for a positive person that is eager to learn all areas of the practice. Responsibilities for the position include:

• Optical dispensary involving aiding patients with frame selection and lens options
• Front desk duties including verifying patient insurances
• Preparing examination and treatment rooms
• Patient case history
• Perform accurate pre-testing and documentation
• Perform special medical testing
• Administering diagnostic eye drops
• Follow up with patients
• Contact lens training with patients

Previous experience in frame styling, selling glasses, and vision insurance is a must. Other optometric experience is helpful but not required. Patient care is top priority, so you must have excellent communications skills.

We offer paid vacation. Bilingual a plus. Pay based on experience.
