Strong Node.js / JavaScript backend experience (REST / GraphQL, services, APIs). Solid Python experience, especially for data / ML-adjacent systems or services. Experience building end-to-end workflows with a focus on product quality. Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. Experience deploying ML-powered features (LLMs, RAG, embeddings, model APIs). Familiarity with TypeScript, Next.js, and / or real-time systems. Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure), Docker, Kubernetes. Background in performance optimization for high-scale web apps. Prior startup experience or a strong builder mindset. Frontier work : Youll build AI-native software that doesnt exist anywhere else yet. High ownership : Youll own major slices of product and architecture. Top compensation : $200300k base + equity that actually matters. Hybrid flexibility : Remote-first culture with 12 onsite days / week for collaboration. Speed + quality : We move fast and care about craft. Frontend : React, Next.js, TypeScript, modern UI tooling Backend : Node.js, JavaScript / TypeScript, APIs (REST / GraphQL) ML / AI : Python services, model pipelines, LLM integrations Infra : Cloud-native, containers, CI / CD, observability Remote-friendly, but must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area . 12 days onsite per week for team collaboration and product cadence. The Role
Were looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer whos excited to build polished, high-performance products from the UI down to the backend services and ML integrations. Youll work across React frontends, Node.js APIs, and Python-based AI / ML systems to deliver experiences users love.
Youll be part of a small, senior, highly collaborative engineering groupmeaning high ownership, high trust, and high impact.
What Youll Do
- Build and ship user-facing features end-to-end across React (frontend), Node.js (backend), and Python (AI / ML services).
- Design and implement APIs, data flows, and real-time systems that support intelligent product experiences.
- Collaborate closely with ML engineers to integrate models into production-grade applications.
- Own architecture decisions and contribute to technical direction as we scale.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable code with a strong bias toward shipping.
- Improve performance, reliability, and developer experience across the stack.
