We are looking for a detail-oriented Patient Registration Processor to join our team in Syracuse, New York. As part of the healthcare industry, this role requires accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering excellent service to patients and staff. Responsibilities :
- Accurately input and scan patient information into the system to ensure records are precise and complete.
- Manage patient registration processes, ensuring all necessary data and documentation are collected and verified.
- Apply medical coding standards, such as ORG-10, to determine and confirm medical necessity.
- Maintain and organize requisition records in compliance with organizational policies.
- Assist with other administrative tasks and duties as required to support the department.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients and healthcare staff to address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Utilize computer systems and applications for patient registration, billing, and order entry.
- Adapt to high-volume workloads and navigate a dynamic work environment efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards in all activities.
- Uphold a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare administrative role is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective interactions.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including patient registration and billing systems.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service while managing workload changes.
- Familiarity with medical and diagnostic terminology is advantageous.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in an office environment with extended periods of computer use.
