POSTION :                                             BARBACK

FLSA DESIGNATION :                      NON-EXEMPT

POSITION REPORTS TO :               RESTAURANT MANAGER

SALARY RANGE :                              $10.00 per hour plus Tips if applicable

POSITION PURPOSE :

The Barback is responsible for the designated service area and to assist bar / service staff with set-up and clean up of all areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES :

• Must be able to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
• Responsible for assisting the bartenders in mixing drink orders for patrons.
• Responsible for cleaning designated areas, in accordance with policies and procedures, morning / evening routines and hygiene requirements.
• Responsible for stocking private bar carts, clipboard and uniform.
• Must be able to clean all private bars, private bar carts, and storerooms.
• Must possess the ability to stock all necessary items for the bar (i.e. glasses, mixing equipment, etc.)
• Must have the ability to slice and prepare all fruit garnishes.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS :

Education : High school or equivalent education preferred.

Experience Required : No prior experience necessary

Licenses or Certificates :  Ability to obtain and / or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.

Grooming : All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Cipriani standards.
