A daycare bus driver isresponsible for safely transporting children to and from daycare facilities, adhering to traffic laws, and ensuring child safety during transit.This role also includes vehicle inspections, maintaining schedules, and communicating with parents and staff.Strong communication skills, reliability, and a commitment to child welfare are essentia

Duties

• Safe Transportation :
• Safely transporting children to and from daycare facilities, adhering to established routes and schedules.
• Vehicle Maintenance :
• Performing daily vehicle inspections, ensuring the bus is in safe working order, and reporting any issues.
• Child Safety :
• Supervising children on the bus, implementing safety procedures, and ensuring all children are accounted for.
• Communication :
• Maintaining clear communication with parents, daycare staff, and potentially other relevant parties regarding schedules, routes, and any incidents.
• Adherence to Regulations :
• Following all traffic laws, safety regulations, and any specific guidelines related to child transportation.
• Emergency Procedures :
• Being trained in emergency procedures and able to handle situations such as accidents or medical emergencies.
• Record Keeping :
• Maintaining accurate records of transportation times, routes, and any incidents.
• Professionalism :
• Maintaining a professional demeanor and demonstrating patience and a caring attitude.
• Flexibility :
• May assist in other capacities as needed, such as stepping into a teacher role or assisting with other tasks

Requirements

Minimum of Current State Driver License with an F endorsement and a High School Diploma
