Oncology Registered Nurse - Cincinnati, Ohio

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with specialized expertise in oncology to contribute to a dedicated inpatient unit. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing stem cell therapy, chemotherapy, and participating in clinical trials within a 16-bed and 14-bed inpatient BMT/Oncology setting.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years as an RN with experience in Med Surg, telemetry, PCU, BMT, or inpatient oncology.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR/charting systems.
• Two years experience in Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) nursing.
• ONS Chemo or ONCC Chemo-biotherapy certification.
• Demonstrated competency in chemotherapy administration.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care on a 16-bed and 14-bed inpatient BMT/Oncology unit.
• Administer chemotherapy and provide care for patients undergoing stem cell therapy.
• Support clinical trials and maintain compliance with protocols.
• Float to other equivalent units as necessary.
• Maintain patient ratios typically around 1:5-6.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive patient outcomes.

Schedule:

• 36 hours per week, structured as three 12-hour shifts.
• Every other weekend required.
