Job Description

Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a HVAC & Industrial Sales Manager for the Wylie, TX Market.

Job Summary :

The role of the HVAC & Industrial Sales Manager is to plan, manage, direct, and coordinate the sales of Private Label mastic, adhesives, coatings, hardware, and Rolled Sealant products. They manage the accounts, including setting and achieving sales goals, research new market segments (applications) and product-specific growth and margin objectives with existing and new customer base. The HVAC and Industrial Sales Manager continuously analyze data from external market segments, competitive materials, new markets, and internal reports to refine the sales plan and develop countermeasures to achieve results to maintain existing accounts and for new market growth. The position will also consist of building upon industrial sales in adjacent markets within our current technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for Private Label Accounts responsible for up to $7 million in annual sales.
  • Train and develop new and existing accounts for continual sales growth for mastic, adhesives, rolled sealants, coatings, and hardware.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities in emerging markets, in conjunction with the commercial and R&D teams, and New Product Development.
  • Attend trade shows to develop new products for other markets or new applications for existing products.
  • Create and implement effective sales strategies for both new and existing markets nationwide toward achievement of sales goals.
  • Prepare and present technical information, presentations, value proposals, and process review, as part of strategic development of short and long-term business growth.
  • Establish effective relationships and collaborations (both internally and with external partners / customers)
  • Review sales and P&L results at least monthly, apply countermeasures and offer commentary and forecasting to management.
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
  • Foster organic growth within existing customer base to help meet sales forecasts for the business year.
  • Maintain timely documentation for all project-related activity utilizing designated databases and manual processes.
  • Act as a supporting resource to provide information and optimally address customer needs in conjunction with the commercial and technical team and its objectives.
  • Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of products and meet with department heads to plan marketing services alignment with sales objectives.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and determine competitive and profitable pricing across all lines.
  • Interact and communicate regularly with product management group, customer service, R&D, pricing, and operations. Work within the New Product Development process to bring on new products.
  • Drive project-related activities to achieve strategic goals within the business, working cross-functionally as required.
  • Account management of certain higher profile / strategic customers / relationships (key accounts).

Working Conditions :

  • Monday – Friday; 8 : 00 A.M. – 5 : 00 P.M.
  • Weekend or overtime may be required
  • Passion for work and the ability to work overtime to meet demanding timelines
  • Represent the company in all external relationships
  • Travel Requirement :

  • Travel is required for this position; modes of transport are airplane or car. Travel is expected to occur 35-45% of the time.

    Requirements

    Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, in chemistry, engineering, or a business-related field
  • 8-10 years of sales experience, preferably in like businesses / products
  • 8+ years of experience managing a sales team
