Material Handler

Chicago Tube and Iron Company is a leader in the metals distribution and fabrication industry. We are seeking a Material Handler for our 2nd / 3rd Shift with our St Paul Division in St. Paul, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits : Starting Pay Rate $24.48. We offer competitive pay based on experience, company-paid safety shoes annually, and uniforms. This position is covered by the collective bargaining agreement between Chicago Tube & Iron and Teamsters Local No. 120 Union. Job Offers are conditional based on successful completion of drug screen, physical, and background check.

Job Duties :

Operate forklift, Raymond side loader, and overhead crane to move material in warehouse. Load and unload trucks using handling equipment, place materials in storage locations. May operate saw, or other equipment to process, package, and load. May receive / inspect and verify material count.

Job Requirements :

Good general math and measuring skills are a must. Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, side loaders, saws, banding, and / or order packing are highly preferred, but not required. Experience in the steel distribution industry is a definite plus.
