Salary :
PRIMARY FUNCTION : This position oversees all aspects of payroll processing and is responsible for monitoring all tasks necessary to accomplish the organizations payroll processing objectives. The payroll administrator pays employees and compiles payroll information by managing payroll processes, completing reports, and maintaining records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Accurately analyzes, prepares, and inputs payroll data. Uses a combination of automated systems to produce accurate and timely payroll.
- Maintains employee payroll records by entering new hires, processing terminations, and updating changes in exemptions, deductions, benefits, reimbursements, job titles, and departmental transfers.
- Processes employee payments by producing and issuing electronic transfers to bank accounts in compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepares and files required reports including weekly certified payroll reports, quarterly returns, annual tax forms, and annual compliance audits.
- Calculates and verifies payroll liabilities, including federal and state income, Social Security, Medicare, and unemployment.
- Reconciles payroll accounts and resolves discrepancies to ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
- Responds to payroll-related inquiries and provides excellent internal customer service to employees and management, partnering closely with Human Resources.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of payroll data and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Performs additional assignments as directed by management or as required for successful project completion.

High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors or Associates degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office.Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll regulations.
