A top international law firm is seeking a Travel Manager to oversee and streamline all domestic and international travel activities for attorneys and business professionals. This role reports to the Director of Travel and plays a key part in ensuring that the firm’s global travel program operates efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with organizational policies and strategic goals. This role will be hybrid and can sit in NYC or D.C.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all firm travelers, addressing day-to-day travel needs, resolving service issues, and elevating the overall traveler experience.
- Partner with the Director of Travel to implement key initiatives and support travel requests for firm meetings and events.
- Manage travel services to ensure policy compliance, operational efficiency, and a high level of client satisfaction.
- Build strong relationships across the firm globally, collaborating with stakeholders at every level.
- Create and deliver training for travel arrangers and travelers, including how to use travel tools and policies effectively.
- Support global project rollouts involving travel technologies, platforms, and third-party vendors.
- Maintain a strong partnership with the firm’s travel management company to support shared objectives.
- Oversee travel reporting and analytics, including dashboards, spend tracking, compliance metrics, volume trends, exception reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments and offices worldwide.
- Assist with additional travel-related projects and work extended hours as needed.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree preferred.5+ years of progressive experience in corporate travel management in a professional services or law firm setting.Strong knowledge of global travel operations across air, hotel, and ground transportation programs.5+ years of experience developing and improving operational processes and procedures.Deep experience managing travel programs within a global organization, with strong understanding of the corporate travel industry and major travel associations (GBTA, ACTE, ISM, etc.).Advanced proficiency in MS Office and comfort working with data, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive traveler information.Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
