LHH is partnering with a premier corporate services company in Houston, TX to identify a Senior Accountant. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning the full accounting cycle, partnering with leadership, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Salary for the Senior Accountant ranges between $85K & $90K per year depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare and review journal entries and general ledger activity
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports to summarize and interpret current and projected financial position
- Perform statistical and financial analyses to identify trends, estimates, and significant changes; prepare narrative explanations for management
- Review client contracts and determine proper accounting treatment for revenue, deferrals, reserves, assets, and expenditures
- Monitor compliance with GAAP, SOX requirements, and company accounting procedures
- Review, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies in financial records
- Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
