Position Summary :

The Food Services Associate is responsible for assisting the Food Service leadership team in implementing a world-class quality food service program. This position is responsible for participating in the daily production and serving of food for patients, staff, and visitors in the floor bistros and / or main cafeteria, including serving meals from a cafeteria-style line, operating a cash register, preparing food items on a griddle and / or fryer, preparing and assembling ingredients for hot and cold food items, setting up / restocking serving areas, cleaning assigned areas, assembling and delivering nourishments, helping wash dishes and / or pots and pans.

Rate of pay : $18.50- $26.64 per hour based on experience

This position is per-diem (on call).

Position Requirements :

• Licensure / Certification / Registrations : None
• Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience : Cashier and / or computer experience preferred. One 1–3 years of food service experience preferred.
• Skills & Abilities : Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to read and write in English and perform basic arithmetic calculations. Maintain strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build cooperative working relationships with all staff members, patients, families, and visitors required. Strong ability to work as a team. Adhere to Hospital and department specific safety standards and guidelines. Demonstrate exceptional customer service and interact effectively with patients, families, visitors, and staff.

Employees who are not benefit eligible due to working less than 24 hours / week or being per-Diem are able to participate in Craig Hospital’s 403B Retirement plan through Empower Retirement.
