Staff Accountant

Graham Personnel Services is seeking a Staff Accountant for local manufacturing company in High Point.

This is a temp to hire opportunity with a pay range of $45-65K

This role is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and collections. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and experienced with SAP and full-cycle accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities :

Accounts Payable

Review, match, and process invoices and check requests

Prepare and issue payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers)

Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies

Maintain vendor files and respond to inquiries

Prepare monthly reports and assist with month-end close

Complete sales tax and bank reconciliations

Accounts Receivable

Create and post customer invoices and payments

Reconcile receivables and resolve discrepancies

Maintain accurate customer account information

Support cash application and deposit recording

Payroll

Prepare and verify employee timecards

Process weekly payroll using an external vendor

Maintain payroll files and records

Post payroll journal entries and transfers

Collections

Manage collections calls and correspondence

Resolve customer payment issues and short pays

Monitor and maintain assigned accounts to reduce delinquency

Partner with sales and management to improve collection success

Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records

General Office Support

Answer phones, route calls, and assist with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

2+ years of accounting experience (A / P, A / R, payroll, and collections)

SAP experience required; QuickBooks experience a plus

Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles

Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organizational and time management skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills
