ESSENTIAL POSITION COMPETENCIES :

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, financial reports, and oversee all project / program accounting ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the management of the organization’s financial operations, including long-term forecasting, financial planning, and collaboration with various departments to provide support for programs and project development.
  • Optimize financial processes and systems for efficiency, leveraging your IT and technical expertise.
  • Project management for software development initiatives including contract development, technical aspects, project budgets, timeframes, and vendor management and communication.
  • Manage technology support and contracts with service providers, oversee software installations and manage relationships with external vendors to ensure adherence to best practices for the organization.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years’ financial management experience preferably in a not-for-profit organization
  • Proven experience in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting
  • Strong capabilities required in the use of Information Technology, accounting software (SAGE Intacct), Microsoft Office, and database management software (Salesforce)
  • A successful track record in setting priorities, keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
