Responsibilities
The Coordinator - Programs designs, manages, and evaluates programs to promote the health and wellness of the client community and recreation center members and users. Responsibilities include overseeing and staffing fitness and wellness programs and services, youth camps, and urban adventure trips and gear rental.

Core Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver a comprehensive fitness and wellness, urban adventures and camp program
- Assist in the coordination of purchasing, inventory, and maintenance of fitness equipment as needed
- With support from the Senior Assistant Director, oversee the youth camp program's daily logistics, scheduling, billing, customer service, and sales
- Collaborate with other campus departments to develop, implement, and promote recreational programs and events
- Responsible for the operating, preparation, forecasting and monitoring of income and expense budgets for program areas
- Recommend and revise administrative policies and procedures within the areas of responsibility
- Assess effectiveness and satisfaction of programs and services
- Prepare and deliver required and requested reports and data to the client and CENTERS central office
- Participate in CENTERS meetings and trainings, setting CENTERS standards for operation and innovation
- Build strong partnerships on campus and with vendors
- Provide direction and oversight in accordance with the mission and goals of the department, division, and university
Staff Supervision
Responsible for approving timecards and preparing necessary documents / reports in preparation for payrollResponsible for hiring, supervision, training and mentoring subordinate staffProvide managerial and leadership experiences in program operations and create and promote professional development opportunitiesSite-Specific Responsibilities
Connect the urban adventure program to CSU's "Our City is Our Campus" programWork in collaboration with Conference and Event Services to schedule fitness certifications and workshops through national organizationsQualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or 4 or more years of work experience requiredAt least two years of fitness, wellness, adventure or youth programming experience requiredExperience working in a collegiate / community recreation environmentPast supervisory experienceCurrent national group fitness instructor and / or personal training certification (or willing to obtain) (i.e. ACSM, ACE, NASM, or NSCA)Skills and Abilities
