Key Responsibilities

Analyze engineering problems and establish performance specifications for components, equipment, systems, and processes.

Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems using principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials science.

Collaborate with project teams to set priorities and assess impacts across disciplines.

Provide effective solutions and define deliverables to meet client needs.

Review and approve complex calculations and design deliverables.

Recommend resources and special equipment to optimize project execution.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

2-7 years of relevant experience, ideally supporting nuclear power plant design.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and mechanical design.

Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for nuclear plant design.

Experience with Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards and Engineering Change Control processes.

Excellent time management and communication skills.

Ability to build trust and interface effectively with station customers.

Additional Skills

Experience designing in the nuclear industry.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Familiarity with client processes in nuclear power generation utilities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $60.10 / hr.
