DIRECTOR OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH,  Chesapeake, VA

Signet Health is currently seeking a seasoned Director of Behavioral Health to provide direction and operational administration for a NEW 20-bed inpatient adult behavioral health program at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, located in Chesapeake, VA.

This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations for Signet Health and designated hospital leadership.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

• Advance physician engagement and drive operational excellence in patient care delivery.
• Recruit physicians, advanced practice providers, and management staff for behavioral health.
• Oversee business development and marketing efforts for the behavioral health service line.
• Develop and implement strategic operating and capital budgets.
• Provide start-up oversight for a new adult behavioral health program consisting of a 20-bed inpatient unit plus plans to expand the service line offerings.
• Planning and implementation of behavioral health system integration throughout the Chesapeake Regional Health System.
• Collaborate with clinical and quality leadership to optimize organizational performance in regard to national quality measures.
• Serve as the system expert and operational go-to for Behavioral Health within the Leadership Team.
• Utilize experience and knowledge of Virginia’s Regulatory Systems to include Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services to oversee regulatory compliance and program expansion.
