Payroll Analyst
Reports to : Director of Business Systems
Position Summary : Responsible for reviewing payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors, checking all amounts for accuracy based on information from PayCom, and identifying variances. The Payroll Analyst will have excellent analytical skills with the ability to spot numerical errors.
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities
Patient Care :
- Prepares payroll audits, creating garnishment reports, and advising the payroll department on complex transactions.
- Maintains payroll accounts and processes accounting paperwork.
- Reviews payroll information reconciles per pay period any variances.
- Supports the Director of Business Systems and guarantees that employees are paid correctly, on-time, and through efficient payroll functions.
- Works as a link between the HR, payroll, and finance departments therefore ensuring that the payroll function is coordinated across the entire organization.
- Verifies work records have been captured correctly and completely.
- Ensures wage and salary calculations are correct.
- Checks and verifies deductions.
- Oversees the distribution of paychecks and direct deposits.
- Manages payroll information updates including PANs and Benefit classifications.
- Analyzes payroll process efficiency and reports to management each payroll run.
- Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of payroll resources and assists payroll in accessing such resources.
Position Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or payroll, or equivalent experience.
2. Five (5) years' experience in an Analyst role.
