¡Salud! is a vibrant dual-concept hospitality space - a specialty coffee shop by day and a high-energy cocktail destination by night - where every cup, plate and glass is an invitation to connect. Inspired by the Spanish word for “cheers,” we celebrate life’s moments through rich, handcrafted coffee, elevated cocktails and a menu rooted in community, culture and creativity.
We’re now seeking a Executive Chef / Chef-de-Cuisine to lead our kitchen program bringing heart, flavor and innovation to our Latin and Hispanic-inspired food experience.
Position Overview
The Executive Chef / Chef de Cuisine will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu development to daily execution. This role requires both creativity and precision, balancing culinary artistry with strong leadership and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on chef who thrives in a collaborative environment and can evolve our food program as we grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality and presentation standards.
- Design and execute seasonal menus inspired by Latin, Spanish and Mediterranean flavors that complement our coffee and cocktail programs.
- Train, mentor and inspire kitchen staff in technique, efficiency and culture.
- Oversee menu creation, recipe cost, labor management, inventory management and vendor relations.
- Ensure all kitchen operations comply with health, safety and ServSafe standards.
- Collaborate with ownership and the executive team to align menu and operations with the brand’s creative vision.
- Develop prep systems, recipe cards and training materials for consistent execution.
- Manage scheduling and performance reviews for BOH team members.
- Uphold a positive, inclusive and motivating kitchen culture.
Qualifications
6+ years of culinary leadership experience (Sous Chef or higher).Strong foundation in Latin, Mediterranean or California cuisine.Proven ability to lead teams in a high-volume, design-forward environment.ServSafe certification required; management-level preferred.Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills.Passion for hospitality and building meaningful guest experiences.ABC LEAD certification a plus.Compensation & Perks
