Lifecycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines : Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

The Ordnance Assessment (OA) Program provides a continuing assessment of the effects of operational environments on the product's safety, quality, performance, reliability, and service life status. Surveillance tests are used to assess the effects of long-term storage; identify and establish controls for items that are calendar age, operating time, or cycle-time sensitive; ascertain aging or environmentally induced trends, service / shelf-life limits and other criteria affecting life cycle reliability and operational readiness. In this role you'll work with our external (government) customers, various commercial and government test facilities, Raytheon integrated product teams (IPTs), various engineering and support organizations including, but not limited to : Energetics and Propulsion, Materials and Process Engineering (M&PE), Mechanical, Electrical, Safety, Reliability, Quality, and Supply Chain to execute this program.

What You Will Do :

As an Ordnance Assessment (OA) Engineer, you will lead and support the execution of testing and analysis efforts for a combined surveillance and shelf-life assessment program that assists our customers in inventory management decisions and provides a continuing assessment of the effects of operational environments on the product's safety, quality, performance, reliability, and service life status. OA engineering activities include :

• Performing missile-level accelerated aging (environmental exposure)
• Executing missile and lower-level teardown inspections
• Developing energetic item accelerated aging and test plans
• Coordinating accelerated aging and testing of energetic and mechanical components at the manufacturer's facilities or other designated test facilities
• Developing assessment reports and presenting results at customer reviews.
• Reviewing and approving the accuracy, quality and scope of the OA team's work products

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
