About the Role :

The Housekeeper role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at Hillside Terrace Senior Living. This position focuses on delivering high-quality cleaning services to ensure all assigned areas meet established standards of hygiene / sanitization, cleanliness and presentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and organizational guidelines. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions accurately, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adhering to all company policies and procedures! Ultimately, the Housekeeper contributes significantly to the comfort and satisfaction of residents and visitors by upholding a consistently clean and orderly setting.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand and follow instructions.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity and physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including reaching overhead and floor care.
• Ability to withstand walking, standing for most of the 8 hour shift, pushing / pulling / lifting 50lbs.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Basic mathematical skills to perform measurements and inventory tracking.
• Reliable attendance / punctuality and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Mutual respect toward all coworkers, residents, families and visitors.

Manual dexterity is used daily to handle cleaning tools and perform detailed cleaning tasks efficiently. Working in a fast-paced environment demands good time management and the ability to prioritize duties without compromising quality. Floor care skills ensure that all surfaces are maintained to a high standard, contributing to the overall cleanliness and safety of the facility. Additionally, basic mathematical computations are necessary for measuring cleaning solutions and managing supplies, ensuring resources are used effectively. Physical stamina throughout the work shift : walking, standing, bending, pulling, pushing equipment, furniture, carts, etc.
