Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing medical intake procedures, patient evaluations, and maintaining accurate documentation. They will also assist in patient care, manage clinic inventories, and practice safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Performs medical intake procedures including vital signs and history.
Performs complete patient evaluation and assessment.
Records and reports symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient's conditions.
Performs immunizations as directed by the physician.
Practice safe phlebotomy skills using standard precautions.
Documents all patient care in an accurate and timely manner.
Completes all medical prior authorization and documentation requirements.
Maintains temperature logs for all clinic refrigerators containing specimens and medications.
Practices safety, environmental and / or infection control methods.
Assists with referrals and coordinates services with other organizations, federal and local programs.
Collaborate with clinic team members to coordinate patient services.
