Summary : The Director of the Kennedy Center will serve as a representative of Catholic Charities Community Services (CCCS) with community partners, funders, and media. In conjunction with the Catholic Charities Office of Government Relations, this position will liaise with various community partners to foster collaborations and building community between CCCS and external stakeholders in the Harlem Community. The Director will manage the operations of a vibrant and growing center that serves the Harlem Community Programs located at the Kennedy Center which includes Youth programming, Eviction Prevention, Senior Services, Food Pantry, Child Welfare Services and Case Management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
- In coordination with the Director of Facilities, manage the day-to-day operations of the center, including hours of operation, supervision of activities, management of client flow throughout the building and building security.
- Promote an environment of understanding of social and community needs and encourage active participation in programs at the center by those living in the community.
- Serve as a staff liaison to the Kennedy Center Advisory Board and attend meetings as required. Report back on key findings and provide suggestions for consideration for the Divisional Director of Food and Housing Stability.
- Work collaboratively with Program Directors at the center and create systems that ensure the smooth running of all center activities. (e.g., program rules, attendance sheets, room scheduling, etc.).
- Identify service providers and potential program partners and as appropriate obtain services for community.
- Develop a calendar of events and activities and plan key offerings to further engage and support the Harlem community.
- In conjunction with the Office of Government Relations, develop and maintain relationships with elected officials, community leaders and other potential funders that promote the development of programs to meet the community’s needs and ensure the center’s fiscal viability.
- Work with our Marketing and Communications department to promote and update Catholic Charities on special initiatives being coordinated by the Kennedy Center and the Harlem Community.
- Participate in community events and assess needs, trends, and changes in the community.
- Manage budget oversight, reporting and program assessments, and evaluation of selected of assigned center activities.
- Manage rental space usage; this includes cost for usage, insurance certification, and overall coordination of the meeting / events being held.
- Supervise and train staff on their operational responsibilities. Hold key meetings with teams to ensure alignment on new developments regarding site operations.
- Ensure sufficient coverage for the site which includes evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Ensure full compliance with all required training programs by tracking completion, adhering to deadlines, and staying up to date with industry standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary : $85,000-$90,000
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work :
This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work are generally 9 : 00 AM to 5 PM Monday - Friday. Additional hours are required to meet program deadlines, or client needs. As appropriate, evening and weekend hours may be required.

The ability to travel using reliable transportation, traversing streets, ascending / descending stairs, and exposed to outside weather conditions.Traverse neighborhoods that may require a high level of alertness and awareness of surroundings.Work with clients who require consistent and comprehensive support, some under potentially stressful conditions.Remain in a stationary position at a workstation and use a computer approximately 60% of the time.Expected to be available evenings and weekends and on call for other times at needed. Flexibility in schedule is required.Qualifications
Education and / or experience required :
Bachelor’s degree required and at least four years of experience in the social services field.Community organizing experience required.Building facility management experience is a plus.Skills, Licenses, and / or competencies required :
