  • AIR Control Concepts | HVAC Partnerships, Growth & Support Across North America   Position Summary The Inside Sales Engineer provides technical and sales support to customers, contractors, consulting engineers, and the outside sales team.
  • Based in Huntsville, the role focuses on equipment selection, proposal development, project coordination, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • The Inside Sales Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the company's commercial HVAC business and contributing to its overall growth and success.

    • Key Responsibilities Technical Sales Support :

  • Assist with the sizing, selection, and specification of HVAC equipment to meet project requirements.

    • Quotation Development :

  • Prepare accurate, timely quotes based on customer requests, plans, and specifications.

    • Order Management :

  • Process customer orders, track project milestones, and coordinate with manufacturers for on-time delivery.

    • Customer Service :

  • Provide responsive and knowledgeable support to customers throughout the sales and project life cycle.

    • Project Coordination :

  • Monitor and manage project status, proactively addressing delays, design changes, or delivery issues.

    • Collaboration :

  • Work closely with Outside Sales Engineers and the Sales Manager to support project pursuits and customer initiatives.

    • CRM Management :

  • Maintain accurate customer and project records within the CRM system to support forecasting and reporting.

    • Training and Product Knowledge :

  • Participate in regular training to stay current on new products, technologies, and industry trends.

    • Regulatory Compliance :

  • Ensure all work aligns with internal processes, industry standards, and applicable building codes.

    • Qualifications Education :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent HVAC industry experience considered.

    • Experience :

  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC sales, estimating, or technical roles preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and applications.

    • Skills :

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and quoting software is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with a manufacturer’s representative firm or mechanical contractor.
  • Knowledge of major HVAC equipment brands (e.g., Trane, Daikin, Carrier, Mitsubishi Electric).
  • Familiarity with the North Alabama commercial construction market.
  • Working Conditions Primarily an office-based role with occasional travel for training or customer site visits.

    • Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8 :

  • 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM.
  • Overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
