Description/Job Summary

The Summer Camp Basketball Coach is responsible for coordinating and evaluating skill level, coaching, and counseling. Specifically, the Coach is responsible for supervising all activities related to the planning and execution of camp activities including exercises, drills, instruction, and competitions. This is a seasonal part-time position.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Mentoring campers aged 12-18 in basketball skills and techniques.
• Officiate games and ensure fair play among campers.
• Collaborate with fellow counselors to ensure the safety and well-being of campers.
• Provide leadership for campers both on and off the court.
• Assist with general counselor duties when not coaching, fostering a positive camp environment.
• Assist the Director of Athletics in making sure all campers have submitted completed application and medical waivers prior to participation.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Possess one year of thorough knowledge of basketball and understanding of coaching and training strategies.
• Experience working with children.
