The State Fire Marshals Office is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Chief Deputy Fire Marshal to assists in the overall administration and operation of the State Fire Marshals Office. This position serves as the acting Fire Marshal in the State Fire Marshals absence and is responsible for supervising and assigning investigations reviewing plans and inspections interpreting and applying fire and building codes and providing technical guidance to fire service professionals design professionals state agencies and the public. The Deputy ensures that fire safety policies codes and standards are applied consistently statewide to protect life property and the environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have :

• high level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive or confidential information;
• demonstrated initiative in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy;
• strong organizational and administrative skills with experience in billing invoicing or financial recordkeeping;
• excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• strong attention to detail and customer service orientation.
