Job Title : Senior Professional Application Designer

Location : Sacramento, California (Hybrid)

Job Summary : We are seeking a technical expert to support complex mainframe application development and drive critical projects for organizational success. Our team values expertise and leadership in delivering solutions for health and human services systems, ensuring robust and scalable outcomes for key clients.

Responsibilities :

Support, design, document, and coordinate enhancements to legacy mainframe modules.

Develop, install, and evaluate application software on mainframes, while providing technical consultation and guidance.

Collaborate with application architects and developers to ensure design requirements accurately support client objectives and deliver expected results.

Deliver quality control for project deliverables, including analysis, testing, debugging, and implementation of software solutions.

Experience / Minimum Requirements :

10+ years of applications development and programming experience, including 3+ years supporting COBOL / MVS / JCL / IBM mainframe environments.

Hands-on proficiency with CICS, TSO, CHANGEMAN, SQL, DB2, Abend-Aid, MainView, and Xpediter CICS, with at least 1 year exposing CICS and COBOL as web services via CTS.

Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, techniques of design, analysis, computer programming, testing, and documentation.

Healthcare IT exposure—particularly involving healthcare claims, payer, Medicaid, or Medicare systems—is highly preferred.
