Accounts Payable Manager

Dallas, TX – WFH Fridays

Vaco has partnered with one of our founder-led billion-dollar clients with operations across the United States to onboard an Accounts Payable Manager.  They are looking for process-minded Managers with experience coming out of midmarket and larger, high-volume environments with a knack for mentoring an developing teams.

Compensation : $90K + 10% Bonus

Day to day

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable team, including setting clear goals, providing coaching, and managing performance.

Oversee daily workload distribution to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing and payment cycles.

Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Partner with IT / Finance Systems to optimize AP workflows within ERP and related tools.

Lead or support system upgrades, automation efforts, and policy updates.

Ensure appropriate internal controls and audit readiness.

Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Serve as primary point of contact for vendor escalations; resolve discrepancies and ensure positive vendor relationships.

Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, and Finance teams to streamline processes and ensure proper coding, approvals, and compliance.

Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
